10 June - Cardboard People

Materials:
templates
thin cardboard
pencils
scissors
brads
paint
brushes
water
optional: fabric. safety pins, beads

Process:
1. Explain lesson and discuss proportions.

The kids won't be drawing the figure but its a good opportunity to explain body proportion to them. Classical body proportion is the body is equal to 8 heads. In fashion drawing the body is equal to 10 heads. 

2. Trace template onto cardboard.








3. Cut pieces.
4. Paint face, patterns for clothes, shoes etc.

5. Let pieces dry.
6. Use a hole punch to make holes in our bits and pieces and then poke brads through the holes.


7. Optional: Dress them, with fabric scraps. Just wrap around or snip slits for arms. Pinned them on with safety pins (with or without beads)
